Windows 7 - the replacement for Vista, now expected December 2009...

Originally planned for the first quarter of 2010, Windows 7 is now slated to be released in December this year.

Windows 7 will come with a secret new feature called XP Mode that brings a virtualized Windows XP environment to the OS (Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate versions only). There also Windows Touch - an improvement on the tablet PC touch capabilities.  In fact there's far too much information for us to cover on the subject here so why not take a look at the Windows 7 News website - an independent website that has screenshots, wallpaper, themes and all the latest information about the new operating system.

And before you ask - Microsoft has already started working on windows 8...
